“Dive, A place to relax and rejuvenate”

iva is one of the most awe-inspiring restaurants in Rawalpindi which has captured the exquisiteness and charm of people from both its lustrous menu and marvellous decor. Next to the Cinepax cinema in Jinnah Park, Diva opened its doors in 2007 and remains a favourite place for foodies from the twin cities.

As visitors enter the place they are welcomed by a magnificent setting, the architectural structure, woodwork décor and soft music playing in the restaurant inspires the diners and creates an overall ambient environment.

One of the restaurant’s best qualities is its outdoor seating area. Tables are set up near fountains for visitors to enjoy a pleasant view. There is also a set up on the rooftop for families to spend quality time with their loved ones.

Diva restaurant lives up to their motto which is ‘brings to you the spices of life’ by offering a wide variety of items from its menu.  From Soups, Starters, Diva Rolls and Burgers, Fast Food, steaks, Hyderabadi meal, Diva special Platters, oven hot Tandoori food, to Diva Desi Dastarkhuan including Murgh, Mutton, Vegetable, Rice and BBQ, Salads, Chutnis and Chaats, Tea & Drinks,  Desserts and a variety of  Sheesha flavours, diners can have it all.  The menu offers a wide variety of mouth-watering starters like crispy and crusty garlic breads, lip-smacking French fries with extra topping and crisp and luscious chicken BBQ wings. The main course includes continental dishes like mushroom sizzler, BBQ steak and Black Smith. For desi food enthusiasts, Diva offers many favourites, such as palak paneer, khattay aloo, daal, biryani, barbequed tikkas, kebabs and a lot of other rice and gravy dishes. In addition to traditional cuisine, it is also known for its popular Mexican steak, Death by Chocolate cake which is basically a chocolate cake served with chocolate ice cream and Alaska Volcano cake; Chocolate cake served with Vanilla ice cream. The prices of the food items are also very reasonable; a whole family of 5-6 people can have dinner in just 3000-4000 Rs. Also there isn’t any problem of the parking and everyone can go their either with their family or friends.

From my experience at the restaurant what I feel is that all the dishes were fresh and they had the warmth of home-made food. The chefs take great care in selecting the best quality ingredients but what a pity that the service does not accompany the high quality cooking. The diners have to wait for a long time after ordering. Their services are too slow. There is a saying that ‘A good meal should make you not only filled, but fulfilled’ which is possible only if you have a fulfilled dining experience.  Despite slow services of the restaurant, people who want to enjoy hefty amount of delicious food that too at a reasonable cost, Diva restaurant is the ultimate choice for dining either after enjoying a movie at Cinepax or after hanging out at Jinnah Park for fun and excitement.

I had a pleasant dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavours. For this reason I highly recommend going to the Diva restaurant.
